The auxiliary belt is part of the engine that drives the alternator, air conditioning compressor, power steering pump and water pump. Without a functioning aux belt, a car could overheat, lose battery power and electrics, and not steer properly which is extremely unsafe. These wear out over time due to their rubber construction and need replacing every 80,000-160,000 km. Thankfully we caught it before the customer was left stranded.

After consulting the customer, our technician expertly replaced the auxiliary belt, ensuring optimum function of the charging system and air conditioning. To be 100% sure of a satisfied customer he inspected the other belts and overall condition of the engine bay to ensure there was no damage.

Our technician then topped up the air in the tyres to the recommended level, performed the oil and filter changes, and reset the service schedule. Before inserting the new air filter and updating the service records online and in the logbook.
